The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ruth Brown can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I See CATS!

Most or some may know that Ma was not very fond of cats. Within the past 5 years for some reason each time I spoke to Ma she would tell me she had a dream that I had a cat.  So she would ask, 'Trisha do you have a cat'?  I would respond, 'no Ma why do you think that?'  She would then tell me that she had a dream about cats.  I would assure her that we did not have a cat and that we were dog people.  Once I told her that she would say, 'Ain't noth'in wrong with you having a cat Trisha.  If you want a cat you can get cat.  That's your business Trisha'.  LOL!!  It was so hilarious to me because I emphatically replied, Ma we don't have or want a cat. :-D
