Obituary for Matthew Williams Jr.

Matthew  Williams Jr.
Matthew Williams, Jr. was born on March 17, 1931 to the late Virdie Lee Hall and Matthew Williams, Sr. in Shelby, Mississippi where he grew up.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Matthew took up the trade of Auto Mechanic. In 1957 he relocated and opened his own business, a Texaco gas station.

He was loved, and will truly be missed. Matthew is preceded in death by his son Sheldon A. Williams. He leaves to cherish treasured and fond memories, his wife, Sheastello Cooper; his sisters, Berneice La Blanc, Mary Allen Daniels, Harriett Wallace, Stephanie Y. Williams; children, Rosalynn B. Gatewood, Marlene V. Anderson, Wendell Williams, Edwin Cancryn (who cared for him throughout his illness); grandchildren, Pia C. Bogan, (Mark) Marques D. Anderson (Pebbler), Milton Gatewood, Jr., Jason A. Gatewood, Reginald B. Gatewood; eight great grandchildren; along with a host of other family and friends.
