Obituary for Rowena Lester

Rowena Lester
Rowena Lester, the daughter of the late Mary Elee Lynch and Charles McLean was born in Jamaica, West Indies on August 16, 1957.

Rowena attended Camperdown High School where she acquired her high school diploma. She started traveling at a very young age. She was a small business owner, and thought of herself as an entrepreneur. She had a passion for retail merchandising. She traveled to a number of Islands and countries including Curacaos, Panama, Haiti, and the United States. Her love for traveling, none can compare.

She migrated to the United States in 1990 where her passion for working for herself exploded to get a taste of the American dream. She always had merchandise to sell. It could be perfumes, shoes, clothes, even bags. You name it she had it, when you placed your order, so would go and get it. She was about her business.

Rowena was a virtuous woman who loved to serve Christ. She attended Full Gospel Mission Church for over twenty years, from a member to a Missionary to an Evangelist. Rowena leaves to mourn her passing, her two daughters, Miriam and Nikesha; her sister Verona; brother Rudolph; her nieces, and nephews, other relatives and friends. She leaves a void that no one can fill. She will be greatly missed by her children who love her for the kind woman she was.
