Obituary for Harold M. Blue

Harold M.  Blue
Harold M. Blue was born on February 15, 1923 in Beaufort, South Carolina to Melvin Blue and Ethel Steward.

He served in the US Navy for three years over seas and received an honorable discharge in 1946.

Harold Blue worked for the Transit Authority for over twenty yeas from July 15, 1969 to July 15, 1989.

Harold was a member of the Associated Musicians of Greater New York. He loved his music. He played drums for over forty years in different bands. He even played at the Senior Center until the age of eighty five.

Harold Blue married Isabella Blue on March 3, 1951. They were married for fifty nine years. From this union they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Zenola Blue.

Harold grew closer to the Lord as he got older.

His wife Isabella Blue of fifty nine years preceded him in death in 2010.

Harold Blue leaves behind a daughter Zenola Blue; three grandsons, Harold, Michael and Christopher Howard; a great granddaughter Olivia Howard; a loving brother Sam Bailey; a sister Cleo Blue; niece Renee; nephew Leo; good friend Robert Blake and good neighbors.
