Obituary for Hazel Marie Harvey

Hazel Marie  Harvey

Hazel Marie Harvey was born on April 15, 1930 in Knoxville, Tennessee to the late Eula Mae Jones and John West.

She was wedded to the late Douglas Harvey in November 1962. From this union was born Douglas, Jr., Mona Lisa, Sylvia and Roy.

In the early sixties, Hazel and Douglas joined Rush Temple AME Zion Church. She was a dedicated Usher on Ladies Usher Board #1.

Hazel was a woman of great pride and a true believer in the Lord. She was energetic, spontaneous and lived life to the fullest.

In absence, she leaves to cherish in her memory four children; Douglas, Jr, of Jamaica, NY, MonaLisa of Brooklyn, NY, Sylvia of Long Island, NY and Roy of Brooklyn, NY; one grandson, Trevon Jones; a nephew, John Sligh (Kathy) of Tennessee; sister -in-laws, Janice Morgan of Washington, DC, Lois Marshall of Virginia and Hazel L. Harvey of New York; three brothers-in-laws, Percy Harvey of Spring Hill, FL, Roy F. Harvey of New York and Dwight Harvey of Virginia; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
