Obituary for Joyce E Copeland

Joyce Ellen Copeland was born on Nov.6, 1953 in Pittsburgh PA to Catherine Arnette and John A. Minter Jr. She was the one and only. Joyce transitioned from life to death on Oct.16, 2022 as God was ready to receive his angel,

While in Pittsburg PA Joyce attended West Mifflin North High School and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. She then relocated from Pittsburgh PA to New York. She had various jobs but her last one was at New York State Disability where she shared her love with her clients and coworkers and retired after many years of service. Joyce was a faithful member of Everlasting Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Ira Burke and Rev Mother Burke, where she served asDirector of the Little Burke's, Young Adults, Senior Choir, Church Clerk, Sunday School Teacher, Pastor's Aide and Missionary Board. Joyce wore many hats in the church and she will be hard to be replaced.

As a member of the church, she then met and married Hodges Hunter who preceded her in death. But Joyce real loves of her life was her grandfather John Minter Sr and Imagene Patrick known as Granny. Joyce was a beautiful person in and out, let's not forget about them eyes if you knew Joyce you knew that she had the most beautiful hazel eyes. She was a mother and godmother to many and always concerned about others. She enjoyed music, movies, video games and most of all eating. And as Stephaine her friend would say breakfast at Dunkin Donuts would make her day. It was the simple stuff in life that made Joyce happy.
She leaves to mourn, her father, John A. Minter Jr (Helena); two stepsisters, Brenda Toliver (Hank), and Johnnie Mae Williamson; one stepbrother, Frank Jenkins (Gladys); two best friends, Cathy and Stephaine; Godchildren, Albert. Deanne. Johanna, Alexis, Amelia, Elijah, and Candace along with a host of family and friends.
